Refund Policy

Rent a Hen and House (“we,” “us,” or “our”) understands that plans can change. This policy outlines your options for refunds, cancellations, and changes related to your summer chicken rental.

1. Booking & Payment
• A full payment (or deposit, if applicable) is required to confirm your reservation.
• Rentals are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your reservation:
• More than 14 days before delivery:
You are eligible for a 100% refund of the total amount paid.
• 7 to 14 days before delivery:
You are eligible for a 75% refund.
• Less than 7 days before delivery:
A 25% cancellation fee applies. You will receive a 75% refund.
• Within 48 hours of scheduled delivery:
No refund is available unless we are able to rebook your reservation.

3. Early Returns
• If you choose to end your rental early, you may do so, but no partial refunds will be given for unused time.
• Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or extenuating circumstances at our discretion.

4. Weather or Emergency Delays
• If we must delay your delivery due to weather, illness, or operational reasons, we will reschedule or provide a full refund if the rental cannot be fulfilled.

5. Animal Welfare Clause
• If chickens are mistreated, neglected, or housed in unsafe conditions, we reserve the right to terminate the rental with no refund.

6. Damage Fees
• Lost or damaged coops, equipment, or hens may result in additional charges. These will be assessed case by case and invoiced separately.
